Powerup-SD comprises more than 300 high-quality design features in 16 families which have been functionally optimized for your design tasks.


These Powerup-SD features replace the following CATIA V5 solutions:

Generative Shape Design (GSD) (as included in HD2):
Healing with Tangent or Curvature Continuity, Smooth Curve, Laws, diverse Sweep types, Adaptive Sweep, diverse Face-Fillets, Solid-Fillet + Hold Curve, Multi-Extract, Join + Federation, Mask, etc. (not included: features already included in GS1 (MD2) and WF1)

Generative Shape Optimizer (GSO):
Shape-Morphing, Wrap Surface, Bump, Offset Rough, Offset Variable, Volume features, etc.

Developed Surfaces (DL1):
Unfold Surfaces, Develop Curves, etc.

Automotive Body-in-White (ABT):
Diabolo, Mating-Flange, Bead, Junction, Hole, Work-On-Support 3D, etc.

Bump deformation of a surface with plane selection and selectable continuity (Tangential, Curvature) (Powerup-SD Morphing, original produkt: GSO)
Bump
Deformation of a surface according to relation between reference surface and target surface. Applications include alignment of existing 3D logos onto curved surfaces (Powerup-SD Morphing, original product: GSO)
Wrap Surface
Mating flange between two or more (shhet metal) profiles, e.g. for seaming or spot welding (Powerup-SD Morphing, original product: ABT)

Work on Support 3D

Sweep Circular 1 Guide
An outline is used as a profile with constraints to neighbouring surfaces (using cross-sections and projections of the surfaces) (Powerup-SD Generative, original product: GSD)
Sweep Adaptive
Various sweep surfaces: here a circular sweep with tangential support surface and 2 guide curves (Powerup-SD Generative, Original-Produkt: GSD)
Sweep Circular 2 Guides
Generate a parallel curve on a support surface (clearance determined by fixed offsets, points, or law) (Powerup-SD Generative, original product: GSD)
Parallel Curve (Law)
A 3D surface is unrolled onto one level, e.g. folded sheet metal parts. Wireframe geometry can be transferred to both folded and unfolded viewds (Powerup-SD Morphing, original product: DL1)
Unfold
Set as current causes all elements outside the 3D mask to become hidden (Powerup-SD Generative, original product: GSD)
Mask
A curve is unrolled onto a support surface (Powerup-SD Morphing, original product: DL1)
Develop Curve
Surface morphing in 3D by transferring a surface acording to the relation between reference curves and target curves (the surface itself need not contact the curves) (Powerup-SD Morphing, original product: GSO)
Shape Morphing
Generate a junction surface between 2, 3 or more profiles connecting to their continuous curve support surfaces (Powerup-SD Morphing, original product: ABT)
